Volunteer Spotlight: Renee Shields & The Horlick High School National Honor Society

Project Sunshine Volunteer - Renee Shields

After reading about Project Sunshine in Teen Vogue, Horlick High School (WI) Senior Renee Shields decided to spread some sunshine of her own! Renee, along with the Horlick High School National Honor Society members, created football and friendship bracelet craft kits to send to teens facing medical challenges. Renee believes in Project Sunshine´s mission and truly recognizes the impact the craft kits will have on hospitalized teens who receive them. Leading a group of young and enthusiastic volunteers, Renee says one of the most memorable parts of her volunteer experience was watching some of her male peers make friendship bracelets for the first time ever and actually enjoying it!

"I became a Project Sunshine volunteer because I wanted to help out kids all over´┐Żby putting a smile on their face."
