Senior Non–Profit Management Training Intern
Job Description:
Senior Non–Profit Management Training Intern will work out of organization´s
headquarters in New York City and will hold a key role in the organization; enabling him/her to
develop program management, development, and operations skills.
Responsibilities Include:
I. Support and manage Program events at hospitals and at corporate offices and schools
- Recruit volunteers
- Plan creative activity for hospitalized children
- Coordinate with hospital contacts
- Support Program staff in multiple task
II. Coordinate monthly volunteer trainings
- Track volunteer signups
- Coordinate NYC volunteer trainings for groups of 30 volunteers or more
III. Oversee in–kind donation database
- Receive and track donations
- Ship donations to medical facilities in need
IV. Maintain organization´s email account
V. Maintain Program reporting and evaluation documents
VI. Provide support to staff planning fundraising events including a fall fundraiser
VII. Assist with grant writing
VIII. Assist with office work/new initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
- Candidate must enjoy working in a fast–paced environment and have the strong
ability to multi–task.
- Candidate must possess strong organizational skills, a passion for the organization´s
mission, and outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor´s degree preferred and some experience in volunteering, project management,
event planning, and fundraising preferred.
This is a full time internship. Candidate must be willing to commit to working 35
hours a week for 6 months. A modest stipend will be provided.

Intern
Job Description:
Project Sunshine is currently seeking college interns for the 2011-2012 school year.
Our exciting internship program provides students with a well–rounded experience in a
fast–paced nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and attending volunteer events
- Supporting staff in the planning of fundraising events
- Coordinating community outreach
- Assisting with grant writing
- Assisting with general office work
- Interns must be available at least 20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Strong oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The desire to learn about the nonprofit sector
- Event planning experience a plus
- Volunteer coordination experience a plus
This is a part time internship. Candidate must be willing to commit to working 16+
hours a week per semester.
